50 years ago, in the north of England, Ken Smith Ainscough and Eric Partington founded Apeks. Starting with weight belt buckles in Eric's garage the brand soon grew to one of the best regulator manufacturers in the world, still producing their regulators in the Blackburn factory, here in the UK.
To celebrate all that Apeks have achieved in those 50 years since 1974, the design team developed a limited-edition MTX-RC regulator! Featuring never before seen features such as DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings on the 1st stage to make it even tougher than standard chrome plating. Unique patterning on the 2nd stage makes it stand out on your next trip. And copper plating to bring out many of the features. With these regulators, you will be the diver everyone asks: "What regulators are those?"
