DIR Zone 120m and 200m reels are perfect for running line into caves or wrecks or for deploying SMB's or liftbags from depth.
DIR Zone Reel
The DIR Zone reel is constructed from aluminum and delrin, tried and tested in the harshest enviroments to provide trouble free service and longevity. Reel from DIRZone are minimal in design for ease of use and to reduce the chance of birds nesting. Available in two lengths 120m and 200m DIR Zone reels are perfect for laying lines into cave or wrecks or for deploying an SMB or lifting bag from a depth that is either deeper than the length of a spool or the amount of line that would need winding in on the ascent would be too time consuming.
DIR Zone Reel Features:
- Handle made from aluminum
- Drum made from delrin
- Available with either 120m or 200m of line
- Complete with stainless steel double ender
Typically a reel is used in ocean diving for deployment of an SMB when collecting large amount of line is too time consuming with a spool. The design of the reel allows a torch equiped with a goodman handle to be used at the same time as running line from the reel. When penetrating a wreck or cave this allows one handed operation of reel and torch. The locking mechanism is a simple lock down screw, when paying out line friction is applied to the drum using fingers to control the line tension.
