Nautilus low pressure hoses are available in a variety of lengths to suit different hose configurations and regulator types.
Nautilus Regulator Hose
Nautils regulator hoses are available in a range of lengths to suit a range of application and hose configurations. Made from high quality materials these hoses are built to withstand the demands of UK diving.
Nautilus Regulator hoses lengths:
- 56cm / 22"
- 62cm / 24"
- 100cm / 39"
- 150cm / 59"
- 210cm / 83"
- 100cm / 39" yellow
The longest of these hoses are used on the primary regulator by many of us at Aquanauts who use a hog-looped configuration, the 210cm / 83" works well when penetrating wrecks and caves as it allows two divers to exit a tight passage in single file when sharing gas. The 150cm / 59" hoses is excellent for open water diving where two divers appreciate the comfort of being able to ascend with more distance between them. Typically a 150cm / 59" hose is used on a single cylinder configuration whilst a 210cm / 83" hose is used on twinsets.
On backup regulators with a twinset the shortest of these hoses, the 56cm / 22", works well on regulators that have an end port such as Scubapro Mk25's and Apeks DST's with an end port. The slightly longer 62cm / 24" works well on regulators without an end port, such as Scubapro Mk17's of Apeks DS4's, as the hose is less strained coming out the first stage. For single setups the 56cm / 22" hoses should work well on most first stages to provide the correct length for a backup regulator.
The 100cm / 39" hoses, available in both black and yellow are the hoses of choice for stage and deco bottles. This length of hose fits well when stowed away on the stage bottle, allows the reg to be routed around the head and into the mouth comfortably and also gives some space between two divers if the regulator must be donated.
All hoses have a 3/8" fitting and will not fit on some first stages that have use a 1/2" thread.
