All PADI courses come with PADI e-learning so you can start your adventure today and complete all your theory at home. Courses include full kit hire, pools sessions and 4 sea dives (PADI OW) or 5 sea dives (Drysuit Upgrade) or 7 sea dives (UK Essentials).
- PADI OW £595 - PADI Open Water Course in a wetsuit.
- Drysuit Upgrade £695 - PADI Open Water in a drysuit with Drysuit Speciality allowing you to dive in more comfort in the colder months
- UK Essentials £770 - PADI Open Water in a drysuit with Project Aware, Drysuit and DSMB¶ÿso you can dive all year round to defend our oceans
- You can also become a buoyancy expert by booking a Peak Performance Buoyancy Course. If you book at the same time as your Open Water Course you are eligable to save £30
The PADI Open Water Course with Aquanauts uses the PADI e-learning portal so the theory is all completed online and we are reducing the physical materials needed to teach this course. This not only reduces our environmental impact but allows you the student to complete the theory in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you.
So it is time to wake up that explorer inside you! The world is over 70% oceans, and via the sport of SCUBA Diving, you can be a visitor there. Like an astronaut of the seas! Learn to fully see and understand the planet that we live on!
There is so much to see, to experience, and via the PADI OPEN WATER COURSE we can take you there. It is your driving license to the oceans!
The course is designed to take you from being non-experienced to a confident underwater explorer over 3 days of professional training.
Once the course is completed, you will then be able to go diving around the world, with a dive buddy, hire equipment, and go to a maximum depth of 18 meters.
Your view on life certainly changes after you complete this course. So what happens on the course?

DAY TWO - Pool Sessions @ Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park
DAY THREE - Two Open Water Sea Dives from the Shore
DAY FOUR - Two Open Water Sea Dives (Drysuit Speciality Dive for Drysuit Upgrade)
DAY FIVE (UK Essentials Package ONLY) - Two DSMB Dives and one Drysuit Speciality Dives (Date Arranged Upon Booking)
IMPORTANT NOTES - All participants need to complete the PADI Medical Statement. Please note you may need to get the PADI Medical Statement signed off by a GP to agree you are fit to dive. It can be found on the link below.
It is highly recommended that you buy your own mask and snorkel prior to starting the course. This is for hygiene reasons, and because a perfectly fitting mask will not leak under water. Plus, this will be your mask for the rest of your diving journey! The best way to choose a mask is to pop into the shop and try them on, to find which best seals to the shape of your face.
